Sleep Well: Good habits for a good night
Cigarettes contain stimulants. In addition to long-term health damage, smoking before bed can cause a sleepless night. Many foods and beverages have hidden caffeine. The half life of caffeine is 7.5 hours, so beware of afternoon snacks which can perk you up well beyond bedtime.
