Developing new posture habits take some grit, which is why I congratulate you for taking the first steps to standing tall with StrongPosture®, working to get aware of how your whole body’s balancing and refining the subtleties of your sense of balance. Balance is the first element of posture and the first element of your StrongPosture® BAM program.

This week we’ll focus on the A in BAMAlignment, beginning by strengthening how you will line and level your head to balance it over your core, now more than ever, in today’s world people spend huge amounts of their lives with tech, head jutting forward, shoulders rounded-in, head and back rounded, training their body to look like a really old person, and because posture affects your overall health a lot more than most people think, to often function and feel old as well.

Lately, this pattern of how posture is folding and buckling in modern life, it has been described as tech neck or text neck, Certified Posture Exercise Professionals, CPEPs and others in health care call this an Upper Crossed Syndrome, and the reason is it’s not just your head jutting forward, it’s your whole torso rounding, and your whole body flexing compressing your lungs and your vital organs, stressing the body’s mechanics in everything you do.
